About Us

Darwin Nordin

Darwin Nordin grew up on a small lake in northern Wisconsin where he developed a love for art and nature. He studied Sculpture and Fiber Art at the University of Wisconsin at River Falls (BFA) and Drawing and Sculpture from Claremont Graduate University (MFA). A practicing artist, Darwin has worked as a garden, exhibit and events designer and as an arts educator for the past 20 years. He currently is a teaching artist mentor with Arts Corp and works as a part-time instructor at Seattle Waldorf High School. In addition, he works as an artist-in-residence at various schools/organizations in Washington state including Centrum.

Rebecca Watson

A Pacific Northwest native, Rebecca is a practicing artist and designer. She studied art at Western Washington University (BA, BFA) and Claremont Graduate University (MFA). She has worked as an artist-in-residence, and as a project manager and designer on a a variety garden, exhibit, web and graphic design projects. Aside from her contributions to Sempervivus Art and Design, her recent work experience includes working at Seattle University as an Instructional/Web/Graphic designer where she helped faculty effectively utilize technology in their teaching. Currently, she is working for King County Public Health, where she works in the Emergency Medical Services division as an Instructional/Web/ Graphic Designer designing and developing online content for the EMT training program.
